The history of the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo is characterised by numerous ups and downs, but above all by the determination never to give up and never to compromise on design and performance.

The car factory was originally founded by a Frenchman in Milan, later taken over by a series of Italian businessmen and finally received its present name from the engineer Nicola Romeo, who first produced munitions and only later civilian vehicles.

Alfa Romeo goes into series production
